This website is run by Knights Hill Surgery. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:

  • change colours, contrast levels and fonts
  • zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen
  • navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
  • navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
  • listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)

Compliance status

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed below.

Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations

  • Some users using certain screen reader software are unable to read the ‘selected’ state of some currently active links. We understand that this does not meet the WCAG 4.1.2 standard.
  • Some users using certain screen reader software are unable to announce the ‘same page link’ or ‘link open in new tab’ on some active links. We understand that this does not meet the WCAG 1.3.1 standard.
  • The map widget that is used on our ‘Contact Us’ page does not use a frame title. We understand that this does not meet the WCAG 2.4.2 standard.
  • When using the site at approximately 400% zoom on certain browsers, both a horizontal and vertical scroll bar will appear. We understand that this does not meet the WCAG 1.4.10 standard.

We plan to address these issues as soon as possible and are currently working hard with our website providers.
